I didn’t know much about Tarkowski or his work before this project. I was very impressed of the dense atmospheres he creates in his movies. The title of the Poster «Momente des Lichts» (moments of light) inspired me to see every letter of «Tarkowski» in a different light and as an individual frame.
The poster can also be seen as a «mise en abyme». A comparison a friend made and which I also connect to moving pictures or time based media. On the backside I adapted the concept into a typographic system.
